The Futronix Enviroscene System

Lighting is one of the most important parts of any interior setting. The Enviroscene digital dimming system from Futronix enhances the lighting by giving the user the ability to create different moods.

Each circuit in an area can be set to any level of dimming and then stored as a part of the scene. There are 20 possible scene combinations. Each one can give a completely individual 'look' to a room. In use, the scenes are selected by touching one of the buttons on a wall-mounted switch plate.

The Enviroscene Commercial Dimming System comes complete with 4 or 8 channels of dimming. In addition it can control 16+ circuits using a range of add-on slaves. The system can operate lighting in more than one area if required. Up to 16 different rooms can be wired to the Enviroscene and then configured at installation time using the remote control. Each circuit can be set to be in any room (zone) and then works, with full scene setting, independently of any other.

The Enviroscene is installed out of view and operated by remote control or switch plates. These are standard single-gang UK size and are available in white, brass stainless steel or antique. Programming and setting up is by remote control, keeping switch panels simple and attractive. The switch panels are wired on one 4 core low voltage cable throughout the installation. Each switch panel can be configured to operate a zone, any number of zones, or to act as a master to them all.

Each is a full-featured all-digital dimmer which allows a room to be customized to your requirements. This means you can create different moods, be it for watching a movie, entertaining, dining, reading or just relaxing.

The dimming on each channel can be set to any level (0-100%). When you are satisfied with the level set on each of the 4 channels, they are then stored automatically as one scene. There are 20 scenes available and each one is a complete 'look' to the room.

Once set up, recalling your favorite scenes is no more difficult than touching a single button on the front panel or remote control handset.

The full range of dimmers are fully programmable from the supplied remote control which, as well as providing access to all the features of the dimmers, also allows you to adjust any of the levels without storing them. Additionally the commands can be learnt by any learning remote control such as the Phillips Pronto

Timer

The optional 7-day timer can recall any scene at any time during the week. Up to 70 of these events can be programmed (10 per day). The uses range from automatically selecting a welcome scene to operating security settings.

Security

A security setting can be set to automatically sequence through the scenes, holding each one for a variable length of time. The sequence can last over several minutes or hours, giving the impression that the property is occupied.

Display

By linking a series of scenes and programming the duration and fade rate, the Enviroscene can be used to provide lighting displays. These can be used to draw attention to an area or to pick out certain items in a display.

Switch Plates

The person wishing to dim the lights controls the lights by means of a switch plate. The switch plates feature a wide range of attractive colors and styles.

Energy

Dimming lighting saves energy. Bulb life is prolonged by 30% or more because fading a lamp is gentler on the filament than just switching it on or off.
