The Futronix System

Enter the world of digital dimming with the Futronix programmable scene dimmers.

Each is a full-featured all-digital dimmer which allows a room to be customized to your requirements. This means you can create different moods, be it for watching a movie, entertaining, dining, reading or just relaxing.

The dimming on each channel can be set to any level (0-100%). When you are satisfied with the level set on each of the 4 channels, they are then stored automatically as one scene. There are 20 scenes available and each one is a complete 'look' to the room.

Once set up, recalling your favorite scenes is no more difficult than touching a single button on the front panel or remote control handset.

The full range of dimmers are fully programmable from the supplied remote control which, as well as providing access to all the features of the dimmers, also allows you to adjust any of the levels without storing them. Additionally the commands can be learnt by any learning remote control such as the Phillips Pronto

Timer

All dimmers can be programmed to select any scene at any time and on any day of the week. Up to 70 of these events can be programmed each week (10 per day). The uses range from automatically putting the lights on for you when you come home to selecting security settings or even waking you up gradually in the morning.

Security

A security setting can be set to automatically sequence through the scenes, holding each one for a variable length of time. The sequence can last over several minutes or hours, giving the impression that the property is occupied.

If outstations are required these are available for the P800 dimmer. They allow a a circuit to be controlled from more than one location.

Display

By linking a series of scenes and programming the duration and fade rate , the P400 can be used to provide lighting displays. Applications of this feature include exhibitions and home cinema where it can be used to create a light show before and after a film. The P400 comes fitted with a sleep timer which can be set to automatically switch the lights off for up to two hours after being selected.

Comfortable Atmosphere - Scene 1

In this first scene the lighting has been programmed to create a comfortable atmosphere.

Entertaining - Scene 2

The second scene has be programmed to create a bright ambient atmosphere. With the emphasis on highlighting pictures and ornaments it is ideal for entertaining.

Home cinema Atmosphere - Scene 3

The third scene is set for watching films. The main light and cabinet lights are off while the ceiling and wall lights are dimmed to create a home cinema.

Television - Scene 4

In the forth scene the user has set up the lighting to provide a level of dimming suitable for watching television. The main lighting is provided by the spots whereas the cabinet lights are dimmed so as not to distract the viewer.

The fifth scene could be used to provide a low level lighting throughout the room with lighting focused on the table area for dining.

A sixth scene could act as a minimum level for security at night.

The twenty scenes available offer a versatile choice of lighting effects suitable for every mood.
